Calvin and Hobbes: the college years
This is why I’m getting in the human services field. So many people love to talk about mental illness as if it’s a joke & that it’s all in our heads. The problem is, it IS all in our heads. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich, poor, smart, gay, straight, black or white. Mental illness can affect anyone, and it’s no external force. It doesn’t matter if you have the best life. All the money, cars and fame. It’s a chemical imbalance. It is in our heads, and that’s what makes it so damn difficult. We can’t escape it.
